Original Oil Paintings

Art is an interpretation of the human conciousness and then conveyed via a medium to an specific place. Most art in antiquity were originals. It was rudimentary art and specific to caves, since caves were the habitable environment for clans and their families. Most art if interpreted to be REALISM, was the interpretation of the artist, and whether or  not exactly depicting the subject matter it was construed to be an ABSTRACT or IMPRESSIONISM or SURREAL etc.etc.

Man has been dealing with the subject of art to interpret life, war, revolutions and many other topics that circumscribe its daily activities and routines. Each masterpiece, specially if an original, have been written about in the hystory books and the ones that achieved notoriety have been sold for millions.

The most important aspect of any art is its originality, the composition of its subject matter to the viewer, the colors and most important who buys it, because they like it. Any artist that can sell its works, has basically found an audience whose common denominator is "enjoyment of the art" and "loving it". Selling of the art is the ultimate accomplishment for an artist. If you dont sell it, then you are labeled, "an staving artist". And there are plenty of them. An important fact today in the art world is that there is art everywhere and most everyone is an artist. The YES YOU CAN symdrome in humanity has been become the ultimate aspiring endeavor to manifest or create. If you GOOGLE art today, you will find that there are millions of websites containing all kinds and types of art.

The GICLE reproductions in my opinion has degenerated the value of art. So beware of copies of the originals. If you intend to become an art collector, always buy an original. The average person today is equiped  to distinguish a copy from an original. In context you were created and are an original, so always purchase an art piece that reflects originality. Thank you.

Aloha. Studio313 was created ten(10) years ago by Andre Adoloffo(BA), and his wife Sarina Adoloffo(AD). It was a combined inspiration of synchronous creativity. The art was varied and eclectic, from fashion designing, to jewelry designs, original art, and illustrations for T-shirts. The important aspect of STUDIO313, is that the conglameration of these productions was essentially all original products, one-of-a-kind. Never seen before. Most of the customers that came into our store, were unique individuals, searching for metamorphosis at all levels, well educated, have traveled the world, and desire the best of originality with no compromises.

We have kept this originality alive. And you can still see it and catch it by accessing our website at the following address:

My wife and I published this coloring book, because there is an interest around the Hawaiian culture to learn the language at all age levels. Therefore, we thought that the tourists would be interested in learning more than the usual ALOHA and MAHALO, and have their kids or any one in the family learn the basis of counting in the 'olelo makuahine Hawaiian language. Mahalo.

Art in Maui Hawaii

There is so much art in Maui Hawaii, that it is necessary for a smart buyer to do its homework to get good quality. There are galleries, crafts markets, open markets, tent markets, everyday sale markets and silent auctions. The silent auctions are the most generous, since the money goes to the needy or nonprofit organizations, 501c3. The most expensive are the galleries, the mark-up is about 400% or higher and they will charge you every fee possible in the book. Obviously, a buyer buys a piece because they like it, and secondly the buyers are convince by the seller or saleperson of its value and beauty. The art's  presentation gimmick, is to put the buyer in a dark room and decrease the light to show the color effects; it works. If a seller is telling you about value evaluation, he is full-of-it. The only art that has increased in value over the last several yearsare the masters, impressionism and post modernism. Point in fact is "The Scream" by E. Munch, a Norwegian artist which sold for over $100,000,000. His art was so bizarre at the time he lived, his critics called it junk. For most of his life he was supported by his father. He was influenced by Gaugin and Tolouse Lautrec. If you happen to buy a piece today, and it is a giclee reproduction copy, do not expect any money back. If you buy and original and for some reason the artist becomes world famous, then you are in luck. It is somewhat like the stock market. If you google art or artists you will find millions of options. My advise to you is buy art that you like, not a giclee reproduction copy, not art framed with a glass cover and definitely not art on cheap mediums. In retrospective, history has proven that the original oil canvas pieces are the most valuable for now and the future. Respectfully submitted and thank you.

Aloha. I paint original art on canvas, any genre, any size and any medium for the following reasons:

1-Started painting at an early age

2-Years of practice have made it fun

3-It is a challenge to configure a new piece

4-Original depicts quality and value

5-Giclee and reproductions are over priced and COPIES

6-Giclee uses archival inks - ink fades over time

7-I use gallery wrap canvases, no need for frames

8-The bigger the piece the greater the impact

Hello Andre!

Aloha Andre,

I love your paintings.
